The first Competition of the FIA Karting European Championship - OK & Junior was an exciting race under the sun and heat of northern Spain. The fast Zuera circuit was a major contributor to the intensity of the spectacle thanks to its overtaking-friendly layout. Tuukka Taponen (FIN) in Junior and Kimi Antonelli (ITA) in OK only started 9th and 4th respectively in the Final, but they were able to step up the pace to cross the finish line as winners.

After the morning warm-ups in the two categories of OK and OK-Junior, no less than 20 heats followed one another on the second official day of the FIA Karting European Championship, with the same main theme: very close gaps between the Drivers, exciting duels and plenty of overtaking. At Zuera in Spain, Arvid Lindblad took the lead of the provisional Junior standings, while Taylor Barnard confirmed his pole position in OK. Near Paris, the Angerville track hosts an international race after having hosted the famous 2006 World Championship for Formula A and the U18 World Championship in 2012. Its 1198 m long recently re-homologated circuit has undergone slight adjustments to follow the evolution of standards, but still has its special character, both technical and selective.

The 2019 FIA Karting European Championships - OK and OK-Junior retain the usual pattern of four meetings in France, Belgium and Sweden. The list of entries for the first Competition in Angerville (FRA) confirms the attractiveness of the international categories with 163 Drivers registered, 73 in OK and 90 in OK-Junior. Five continents and 36 nationalities will be represented with distribution balanced between France, Finland and Italy, as the most numerous, as well as Russia, Spain, Great Britain and Sweden.

The last European Competition of the 2018 FIA Karting season kept all its promises at the Aunay-les-Bois / Essay circuit. Exceptional performances and multiple twists came with the victories by Gabriele Mini' in OK Junior and Dexter Patterson in OK. With 155 Drivers at Ampfing, the third Competition of the CIK-FIA European Championship and the CIK-FIA European Junior Championship boasts a very interesting field. The weather was particularly good in the South of Bavaria for first day, Friday, 15th June, devoted to Free Practice and Qualifying Practice for the two categories of direct-drive karts. Paul Aron dominated in Junior while Hannes Janker prevailed by a wide margin in OK.
